It is our pleasure to announce that IIT Roorkee Alumni Association Nepal (IITRAAN) chapter will be launching Lecture Series as a part of its Outreach Program (OrP). This initiative endeavors to empower potential engineers pursuing Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree as well as practicing young technical professionals working in the development projects with practical knowledge, skills and experiences gained by IITRAAN Alumni in their long professional career. This, in turn, is expected to offer the interested alumni with an opportunity to effectively showcase and share their respective experiences and expertise to the wider audience.

The very first lecture will be delivered on May 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at National College of Engineering, Talchhikhel, Lalitpur by Mr. Bigyan Shrestha, a veteran IITRAAN Member, former CEO of Upper Tamakoshi HPL and former DMD of NEA, titled ‘Project Management and Project Finance of Infrastructure Project – An Experience of Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectric Project.’

As a part of this plan, initially, we will be organizing the Lectures on last Saturdays of every English month. IITRAAN members, residing in the country or abroad, are therefore encouraged to participate in this initiative and deliver talk programs on their respective field of expertise to share their rich professional knowledge, skills and experience. In order to have an effective planning of the Lecture Series, we would like to request IITRAAN members to send expression of interest along with synopsis of their presentations and preferred windows of availability to mail@iitraan.org not later than April 30, 2023.
